Dear Professor Sloman:
In the academic year 1979-80, there will be a year long study
of the connections between artificial intelligence and philosophy.
The study and its participants are described in the enclosed material.
I wonder if you, at this late date, might still be able to
take part in all or part of it and would want to do so. Even if you
say yes, I can't guarantee it, because the Center for Advanced Study
in the Behavioral Sciences may not have room.
I apologize for the lateness. The only work of yours I knew
was your old paper advocating analog representations, but now that
I have read your %2Computer Revolution in Philosophy%1, I am confident
that you would make a great contribution to the study.
